New York Times article on the Thorn Rooms

I understand there is also a collection of Thorne rooms in Phoenix, Arizona, looks like I am going to be lucky enough to see both sets next year!

Wow!   That sounds like a wonderful visit.  I am envious   :-)  You will get to see most of the Thorne rooms. 

 

There are five museums in the US that house Thorne rooms:

 

68 in Chicago at the Art Institute

20 at the Phoenix Art Museum

9 at the Knoxville Museum of Art

1 at the Indianapolis Childrens Museum

1 at the Kaye Miniature Museum in Los Angeles

The Kaye Museum closed in 2000 and the majority of the collection  was sold off to private parties and other museums.
