ElgaKoster
There are some Victorian furniture that I really don't like and then there are the ones that I do like. This platform rocking chair are one of them and I always thought it would be cool to make in miniature. I have seen them from time to time in antique shops, my dad who is the manager of a charity shop for a local organisation. He asked me the other day if I could restore a chair they got in, I went in, had a look and said yes I can restore it but I also want to buy it, purple is not my favorite color so I will re-upholster it as well.As you can see the one arm is loose and broken in the front.Making the spring mechanism that allows the chair to rock should be interesting to make in mini. This chair will give lots of turning practice too :-)
