This is a copper teapot I fabricated in 1: 12 scale. It is silver soldered together.

The 1: 12 scale copper pan has an ebony handle and knob on the lid. The stand is made of sterling silver. I used half round wire for the legs and filed the legs shape before I bent them into the S curves.

They are beautiful Catherine, so far I haven't had much success with silver soldering brass, guess I will have to take a class at some time to learn the basics.

Exceptional work.  The fit and finish is beautiful.  Do you ever teach miniature metal work?

Pete,

Thank you for your kind comment. No, I have never taught miniature metal work. I have no idea where I would even do such a thing. It is a rather special sort of interest.

Catherine, we do have this "special interest" group of people going to a place called Castine from all over the world where we learn all kinds of things including metal work ;-)

I for one would love a class on silver soldering brass!
