MeezerMama 40
Can anyone recommend a source for a spring-loaded tap guide with a 3/8" diameter shaft, or smaller? Mine has a 1/2" shank and that's all I seem to be able to find. I can't figure out a way to hold that in my Sherline mill. (I have a standard 5400, and I don't plan to do the big block spindle modification to enable larger collets). Thanks!
Bill Hudson 792
How long of a shank does you tap guide have? Sherline has an adapter for holding 3/8" shank mills. You could probably bore it out to 1/2". It will fit either miller lathe. Bill
MeezerMama 40
That's a great suggestion! Thanks. And since you suggested it ... I could just buy a blank end mill holder and bore it out to 1/2".
