  1. Hi all. I have two little 1/12 scale sterling lanterns. They were purchased at some point between 1982-1983, and I believe were part of a line of miniatures commissioned by the Metropolitan Museum in the late 70’s early ‘80’s that were based on American(?) pieces, probably for sale in the museum shop. Based on information from another miniature collector I think the silversmith was maybe Obadiah Fisher. This collector was certain that Obadiah Fisher had done miniatures for the MMA and had signed them “MMA” as opposed to his usual makers mark of OF with each letter enclosed in a box. What I do
  2. Hi, My name is Alberto and I am the founder of Silverissimo, a family business run by few people. It all started as a hobby once I was sacked after 8 years because my manager discovered I was going to adopt another child with my partner, ergo, being entitled of a 12 months adoption leave. I am busy planning a day in Amsterdam visiting some house museums on my way to Tune in July when I discovered that the one museum I plan on visiting is having an exhibition of antique miniature silver until 31 August this year, they are not exactly made to any specific scale as far as I know but are still beautiful little pieces. http://www.willetholthuysen.nl/en/silver-miniatures I actually found a dutch miniature piece a few years ago at an antique fair here in Johannesburg and bought it for my dollhouse, a little violin player, the only photo I could find in a hurry is this one, LOL, I used
