Cape Town and surroundings

Cape Town and the surrounding smaller towns must be one of the most beautiful places in the world and I am hoping to move there when my husband retires. We visited Cape Town almost every two years when my late mom in law still lived here, it is ten years since I have been there and I can't wait to see it again later this year when I will be teaching two classes at our annual South African miniature convention, I will post the link in the classes section.

Fortunately for me my best friend from school days lives in Cape Town and I will spend a week with her, as I am building a Cape Dutch house in miniature I am looking forward to going to some of the museums in the Cape and see some of the architectural details up close as well as lots of beautiful furniture. I came across some travel posts with beautiful photos of the Cape this morning and decided to share them with you. Enjoy and hopefully I can entice some of you to come visit my beautiful country, some of our finest miniaturists live in this area too.

Elga, each time I hear Cape Town in South Africa mentioned on a travel show, I am 'tuned' in to the tele and think of our South African miniaturists... oh I would love to come for a visit!  Isn't it fun to have friends on every continent?  I know my international geography has improved as I'm always looking to find where my friends live!
