Just received this jig and I have a question about the magnets. One of the metal plates on each magnet is fixed to the magnet but the other plate is loose and can be either removed or re-positioned. Is this done for some reason I don't understand?

Too soon oldt und too late schmart!

Cheers, Guy

For the magnet to have its strongest hold both metal plate edges need to be in full contact with the jig floor. Thus one plate is movable.
