  1. I worked on this for around a month I guess. I just thought I’d post it. The pictures I took aren’t the best. Maybe I’ll try to take a better one for a final.
  2. Hello. I’m attempting to replicate this pastoral painting by Claude Lorraine in oil. I am doing it in stages, so I’ll try not to make many mistakes. I’ll do my best. I’m afraid I started it before I started to take pictures; I have already worked out the background sky, but actually that’s the easier part because it’s looser and more forgiving. I’ll do my best on the middle ground, but it’s out of my comfort zone. The foreground will probably be last. I hope you will enjoy seeing how I personally progress through a painting, though I’m sure there are many more experienced painters who would approach things differently.
  3. This is a current project of the “Night Cafe” done in 1/12th scale in oil painting. For anyone interested in my process. Obviously only partly done.

    Miniature Nautical Painting

This is a copy of a painting by Ludolf Backhuyson "ships on a stormy sea" that I've made recently. It's oil on a panel and it's about 65mm x 45 mm
