Detail of the relief map of Toulon city (South of France, mediterranean cost), realised in 1796-1800. Its' a commemoration relief map, made after the French revolution troops took the city back from the English in 1796. Each building on the model is an exact copy of the real one located in the city at this time. It supposed months of drawing in the city before beginning tthe construction of the relief map ... and a enduring patience !

Dimensions : 6,61 m x 4,26 m

Scale : 1/600e

Materials : sand, silk powder, wood, engraved paper, wire (for trees' trunks and branches), paint
